BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of a contract with the Office of Sheriff and Lake Fenton Community Schools to provide one (1) SRO for the term of August 17, 2026, through June 4, 2027, at the cost of $145,984.00, to be paid by Lake Fenton Community Schools.
BACKGROUND:
This agreement ensures that the Sheriff’s Office provides police services in the form of an SRO to Lake Fenton Community Schools during the 2026-2027 school year. This contract has been an extension of a partnership with Lake Fenton Schools since 2018.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request of the Sheriff’s Office to authorize entering into the Agreement for Police Services between Genesee County and the Lake Fenton Community Schools will receive one (1) SRO for the term August 17, 2026, through June 4, 2027, at no cost to the county but paid by Lake Fenton Community Schools not to exceed the amount of $145,984.00 as outlined in the memorandum request and attached contract is hereby approved.
