Approval of a Purchase Order to ProCom for the fiscal year ending 2024, in an amount not to exceed $47,869.40 for the purchase of Motorola Portable Radios; the cost for the Purchase Order will be paid from accounts 1010-316.01-978.000 of $46,029.40, 1010-316.01-752.000 of $307.51 and 1010-000.00-123.000 of $1,532.49
BACKGROUND:
ProCom is the provider for all of the police portable radios in Genesee County. These radios are programed with police encrypted channels. These radios allow officers to communicate to 911, County Dispatch, Specialty Events, and Officer to Officer. These radios are the only radios that are allowed to be used for police in the State of Michigan.
