BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
To accept the reimbursement check for 15,000.00 from Petco Love grant for 2024 purchase of Catio Equipment and assisting in fencing of new runs for dog enrichment this check will be placed in the Donation account 2130-430.00-672.001
BACKGROUND:
This is a grant check for Catio equipment and used towards fencing of new runs for dog enrichment. Specification of this grant is directly for the animals and can not be used in general fund
DISCUSSION:
None
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
None
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
This grant will lessen the amount for the much-needed dog runs that will assist in the mental health of the dogs in the shelter giving them more enrichment of time outside and not be limiting the dogs to just fifteen minutes a day outside.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
May increase some yard work along fencing to maintain lawn.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
None
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
With this grant award we will be able to offer the public a better adoptable pet that has had attention to not only medical, but behavior and interactions with volunteers and staff giving us a better understanding of temperament of this animal that will assist us in placement of this animal.
