BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of an increase to the existing FY24/25 PO to Satellite Tracking of People, LLC PO 25-02799 by an additional $42,000.00 to pay for the August and September 2025 tracking/monitoring services of tether-released inmates at the Genesee County Jail.
BACKGROUND:
Satellite Tracking of People has been the contracted provider for these services for the past several years as bided for both the Office of the Sheriff and the 7th Judicial Circuit Court. However, moving into the FY 25/26 our offices will be engaging with a new tether services provider per the File ID 25-660.
DISCUSSION:
This increase request is necessary to pay the contracted services to the vendor for the August (currently have an invoice for August services on-hold in the amount of $18,786.20 that cannot be paid with the current PO balance of $11,295.50) and expected September service invoices. The Genesee County Office of the Sheriff pays 2 types of monthly monitored services out of this annual blanket PO. The requested amount is an estimate based on an average of monthly services and is rounded high for safe estimation as we are at the fiscal year-end.
