BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Office of Genesee County Sheriff is requesting the approval to create, post and fill three (3) police Deputy positions to provide security for the newly completed Genesee County tower building.

The Office of Genesee County Sheriff is requesting the approval to create, post and fill three (3) police Deputy positions to provide security for the newly completed Genesee County tower building.

IMPACT ON BUDGET:
This request will be billed to the Sheriff Admin account 1010-305.00. Upon approval amendments will be requested from the general fund to cover cost from August to September. Upon approval this cost is being included in current budget planning for 2025-2026 FY.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Office of Genesee County Sheriff to authorize establishing, posting, and filling three (3) Police Deputy positions to provide security at the new Genesee County Tower Building is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the July 16, 2025 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board).
