BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) requests authorization to increase Oliver Packaging Purchase Order (PO) #25-03109 by $17,100.00 for a total Not to Exceed $91,900.00, with a recommendation of approval by the full Genesee County Board of Commissioners at their next regularly scheduled meeting.
BACKGROUND:
Meals provided to Genesee County seniors are delivered in single-use trays, both paper and plastic, purchased through our rental agreement with Oliver Packaging. The machinery is provided free of charge and is proprietary to the company.
DISCUSSION:
Oliver Packaging PO #25-03109, previously approved by Resolution 2025-2323, runs from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026. This increase is due to a Round 1 funding increase from Valley Area Agency on Aging.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
There will be no impact on Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Funds for the addition of $17,100.00 are budgeted and allocated as follows: fund #2731-697.15-765.000 increased by $2,100.00 and fund #2733-697.15-765.000 increased by $15,000.00 for a total PO Not to Exceed $91,900.00. No General Fund dollars are being requested.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
There will be no impact on Genesee County facilities.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
There will be no impact on technology.
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
This memorandum conforms to Genesee County's priority of Healthy, Livable and Safe Communities as GCCARD continues to purchase the supplies necessary to deliver nutritious meals to eligible Genesee County seniors....
