BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of Genesee County’s annual payments, in an amount not to exceed one million ($1,000,000.00) to area hospitals for uncompensated care
BACKGROUND:
Annually, Genesee County provides payments to three (3) local hospitals to offset the cost of uncompensated care.
DISCUSSION:
Funding is split to provide payments equal to each hospital’s percentage of the total uncompensated care within Genesee County. A spreadsheet is attached describing this breakdown. Approval of this resolution will authorize payments not to exceed one million ($1,000,000.00.
