BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Genesee County Parks and Recreation staff requests the approval of a renewal to the contract with Securitas Security Services USA, Inc., for continued unarmed security services at Crossroads Village with a total contract amount not to exceed $158,000.00.
BACKGROUND:
ITB #23-339 for Unarmed Security Services at Crossroads was awarded to Securitas, per RES-2023-877, with the option to renew the contract for up to three additional one-year terms, for a total contract amount not to exceed $130,000.00.
DISCUSSION:
This will be the third renewal of the contract.
Contract effective January 6, 2027 – January 5, 2028.
We request to increase the total contract amount from $130,000.00 to $158,000.00 to account for minimum wage increases.
The remaining terms of the agreement remain unchanged and in full effect.
The renewal of the contract for unarmed security services at Crossroads Village is essential to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and volunteers.

Budgeted expenses to be paid from account 2080-764.00-801.028.
