recommendation
BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of an agreement between Genesee County and MSU for the MSU-E millage.

Genesee County voters passed a millage to support of MSU-Extension services. Genesee County partners with MSU-Extension to help manage the funding for their programming.

Genesee County enters into an agreement, annually, with MSU to provide for the operation and finances of MSU-Extension services. Our current agreement has expired. Attached, is the updated agreement for this programming.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
There is no impact on HR.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no direct impact on the budget as the activities contemplated in the MOU are fully millage funded in Fund 2132.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
Facilities & Operations will be responsible for finding and providing space per the MOU.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
IT does provide some support for MSU-E and is reimbursed by the millage.
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
This agreement will conform to several of Genesee County's priorities, including Community Growth, Inclusive, Collaborative Culture, and Healthy, Livable & Safe Communities. The programming provided by MSU-E promotes environmental stewardship, public health, collaboration with other agencies, and allows for the county, through it's millage, to act as a convener that allows for growth and relationship building.
