BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of a request to appoint Commissioner Brian Flewelling as an Executive Board Member of the 9-1-1 Consortium.

BACKGROUND:
Chairman Loyd is recommending the appointment of Commissioner Flewelling to serve on the 9-1-1 Consortium.

DISCUSSION:
Each new session, the Board Chair makes recommendations to the full Board for the appointment of commissioners to certain boards and commissioners.  With the election of new commissioners, previous appointees to the 9-1-1 Consortium can no longer serve.

CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:

                     WHEREAS, the Genesee County Board of County Commissioners (“this Board”) is authorized to appoint a member to the Executive Board of the Genesee County 9-1-1 Consortium; and

                     WHEREAS, this Board wishes to make such an appointment at this time.

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board hereby appoints Commissioner Brian Flewelling to be a member of the Executive Board of the Genesee County 9-1-1 Consortium Commission.

                     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the appointee is subject to removal by this Board pursuant to Resolution No. 2023-273, and any relevant statutory authority.
