BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Court is requesting approval of a contract extension with Genesee Health System (GHS), in an amount not to exceed $65,000, to provide mental health assessments, evaluations, and services for youth on probation; the term of this extension is from October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026; the cost of this extension will be paid from 2920-664.00-868.014. The services are part of the approved childcare fund annual plan and budget for FY 2025-26.

GHS will provide mental health assessments, evaluations, and services for youth on probation. The mental health assessments help in identifying unaddressed mental health issues and assist in case planning for youth on probation. The parties entered into the underlying agreement reflected in Resolution # 2024-1229.

GHS provides licensed clinicians who conduct a mental health screening (MAYSI-2) and a trauma screening on every youth that comes before the Court. The screening tools help drive case planning and assess the need for further evaluation and treatment.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
None.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
