BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of the reappointment of Dr. Brian C. Hunter as Genesee County’s Medical Examiner for an additional 4-year term.
BACKGROUND:
The Board of County Commissioners is responsible for appointing a medical examiner for Genesee County. These appointments are 4-year terms. Dr. Hunter’s term expires this year.
DISCUSSION:
A medical examiner is required by MCL 52.201. Dr. Hunter has served in this position since 2007. He wishes to be reappointed.

There will be no impact on HR.

This is a budgeted position.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
There will be no impact on Facilities.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that Brian C. Hunter, M.D., is reappointed to the position of Genesee County Medical Examiner, such reappointment being for the period commencing January 16, 2026, through January 15, 2030.
