TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
WHEREAS, the Genesee County Board of County Commissioners (this “Board”) established the Genesee County Opioid Settlement Steering Committee (“Opioid Committee”); and
WHEREAS, on January 28, 2026, this Board appointed Antwan Croom to be a Lived Experience Member of the Opioid Committee; and
WHEARAS, the Bylaws of the Opioid Committee provide that in order to maintain membership, members cannot have more than three (3) unexcused committee meeting absences; and
WHEARAS, Mr. Croom has missed three (3) consecutive Opioid Committee meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board hereby removes Antwan Croom from being a Lived Experience Member of the Opioid Committee, having found that Mr. Croom has missed three (3) consecutive Opioid Committee meetings in violation of the Opioid Committee Bylaws.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Board, in accordance with the Appointments Policy, authorizes advertising to fill one (1) vacant Lived Experience Member position on the Genesee County Opioid Settlement Steering Committee.
