TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
WHEREAS, Mr. Bryant "BB" Nolden was a man of integrity, compassion, and a tireless advocate for his community; and
WHEREAS, he led by example, dedicating 25 years to serving his community as a teacher in Flint, Michigan; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Nolden served with distinction on the Flint City Council from 2009 to 2014, including two years as Vice President, and subsequently as a Genesee County Commissioner representing District 1 starting in the fall of 2014, until his untimely passing on December 7, 2022; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Nolden was driven by a passion for his community, dedicating significant time and effort as the volunteer director of Berston Field House, and founder of Friends of Berston, to ensure it remained a vital community resource for the residents of District 1 and all of Genesee County; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Nolden actively served on numerous boards and organizations, including the Flint Institute of Arts, the Genesee County Land Bank, GST Michigan Works, and the Genesee County Health Board, among others; and
WHEREAS, because Mr. Nolden was a friend, a beloved member of the community, and a man who should be remembered forever for his unwavering commitment to public service, education, and making a positive impact for all residents of Flint and Genesee County,...
