BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of annual tire purchase for general motor pool.
BACKGROUND:
Annually, the county purchases tires for various vehicles within the fleet. We are requesting an approval of an expense for vehicle tires for FYE 2024, in an amount not to exceed $63,000.00 from the below vendors:
Delta Tires, Jam Best One Tire & Pomp’s Tires
DISCUSSION:
Both vendors give us government pricing, but each vendor only carries certain tires we need for our fleet of vehicles.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
This is a budgeted expense and will be paid from account 6610-234.00-757.000= $63,000.00
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
By approving this request we will be conforming to both the financial stability & the safety of county priorities.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Facilities and Operations Director to authorize an expenditure and Purchase Order to Pomp’s Tire, Jam Best One Tire & Delta Tire, in a total amount not to exceed $63,000.00, for budgeted vehicle tires as needed over the course of FYE 2024, said expenditures to be paid from account 6610-234.00-757.000, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request being on file with the official records of the January 17, 2024 meeting of the Public Works Committee of this Board).
