BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
67th District Court respectfully requests the approval of Amendment No 1 to the contract between Genesee County and L.A.D.S. The amended contract would commence October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024. The total amount of the contract will not exceed $55,000.
BACKGROUND:
An original contract was entered into with L.A.D.S. effective October 1, 2023, with the option to extend the contract for up to four additional one-year terms.
DISCUSSION:
L.A.D.S. provides drug and alcohol testing services for Genesee County Sobriety Court.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
None
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
The services provided by L.A.D.S. are funded by a Bureau of Justice Assistance grant and Office of Highway Safety Planning grant and will be paid out of accounts 2931-286.00-801.004 ($27,000) and 2927.286.02-801.004 ($28,000).

CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
The collaboration between Genesee County Sobriety Court and L.A.D.S. advances the priority of safe communities by enhancing public safety by providing the tools, resources, and support necessary for alcohol-dependent offenders to attain and maintain sobriety.
