BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Execution of Easement

BACKGROUND:
LCRC Requests an easement to be able to turn equipment around at the dead end of Coldwater Road west of Elba Road

DISCUSSION:
Genesee County Parks and Recreation formally requests the Board of Commissioners of Genesee County to approve the Easement for the cul-de-sac that encompasses the area identified in the description attached.  The easement and road closure process occurred in 1999 and 2000.  All paperwork was not properly frilled.  This action completes and finalizes the plan outlined in Resolution 001-23.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN

 

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:

 

                     BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Drain Commissioner, acting as the County Agency, on behalf of the Parks and Recreation Commission, to authorize granting an easement to the Lapeer County Road Commission (“LCRC”) so that the LCRC can turn its equipment around in the cul-de-sac at the dead end of Coldwater Road west of Elba Road on Genesee County-owned property in Lapeer County as fully described in the General Grant of Easement document, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the January 21, 2026 meeting of the Public Works Committee of this Board), and the Chairperson of this Board is authorized to execute the easement documents on behalf of Genesee County.
