BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) requests authorization from this committee to approve a $22,280.00 increase in existing Fiscal Year (FY) 2025-2026 Uline Purchase Order (PO) #26-00511 for a new total Not to Exceed $27,280.00, with a recommendation of approval by the full Genesee County Board of Commissioners at their next regularly scheduled meeting.
BACKGROUND:
GCCARD's USDA Supplemental Food Program provides monthly food boxes to eligible seniors through the Commodities Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) and quarterly to individuals and families facing food crisis through The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). GCCARD is requesting an increase in the Uline PO to purchase two electric pallet jacks and one floor scrubber to enhance workplace safety, operation efficiency, and ensure our ability to effectively serve the community.
DISCUSSION:
GCCARD requested the required quotes for this purchase. The purchase of two (2) electric pallet jacks and one (1) floor scrubber will improve the efficiency of daily warehouse operations by making it easier and safer to move heavy pallets, reducing the risk of employee injuries and increasing productivity. The floor scrubber will help maintain a clean, safe and sanitary warehouse environment, reducing slip hazards and ensuring our facility remains in good condition for staff, volunteers and visitors. This investment will enhance workplace safety, operation efficiency and support our ability to effectively serve the community.
