Re: Genesee County Land Bank Purchase Order
BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval to authorize a purchase order for budgeted property acquisition costs during FY 2024.
BACKGROUND:
The purchase order covers costs for the Genesee County Lank Bank to acquire and hold properties for GCMPC under the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) and the Neighborhood Purchase Rehab Resale Program (NPRR). The funds will be utilized to reimburse the Land Bank for acquiring properties. The amounts are from funds that are in the proposed FY 2024 budget.
DISCUSSION:
The Land Bank acquires properties that GCMPC then rehabilitates using NSP and NPRR funds. Once complete, the homes are sold to eligible low to moderate income residents.
