A RESOLUTION HONORING LAW ENFORCEMENT WEEK 2025
WHEREAS, the Genesee County Board of Commissioners recognizes the vital role law enforcement officers play in maintaining the safety, order, and well-being of our communities; and
WHEREAS, these dedicated professionals face daily risks and challenges in order to protect life, uphold the law, and serve with integrity and courage; and
WHEREAS, National Law Enforcement Week, observed May 11-17, 2025, is a time to recognize and show appreciation for the brave men and women who serve in law enforcement across the nation, and especially here in Genesee County; and
WHEREAS, the Board wishes to express its deep gratitude and unwavering support to all members of law enforcement, including the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, municipal police departments, state agencies, and federal partners operating within the county; and
WHEREAS, we also honor the memory of those officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, and extend our heartfelt sympathies to their families and colleagues; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Genesee County Board of Commissioners does hereby proclaim the week of May 11-17, 2025, as LAW ENFORCEMENT WEEK in Genesee County, Michigan;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all citizens and employees of Genesee County are encouraged to join in this observance by showing their appreciation and support for the law enforcement officers who serve and protect our communities every day.
