BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of a request by Genesee County's Surveyor to appoint members to the Remonumentation Peer Review Committee for 2023 (Surveyor)
BACKGROUND:
This is the 31st year of the remonumentation program. The annual grant program requires a peer review committee to confirm the work performed by contract surveyors and providing recommendations for resolving corners with conflicting or limited information.
DISCUSSION:
The county Surveyor has recommended the following members.
* Paul Brown, Rowe PSC
* Greg McArdle, Meridian Land Surveying
* Dave Kenny, Kraft Engineering
* Gill Bonno, Davis Land Surveying
* Charles Lillie, P.S., Retired
* Kevin Cleaver, Fleis & Vandenbrink
Each peer review member receives $150.00 per meeting. Meetings typically last 3-5 hours and historically there have been 3-4 meetings per grant. Funding from account number 2971-245.00-804.000.
