recommendation
BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval to renew the Site24x7 subscription for 3 years via ManageEngine/Zoho Corporation in an amount not to exceed $22,647.60, to be paid from the accounts 1010-228.01-933.001 and 1010-000.00-123.00
BACKGROUND:
ManageEngine Site24x7 is a cloud-based monitoring service provided by Zoho. The system is used to monitor the availability and performance of websites, applications, servers, networks, and cloud-based platforms. Site24x7 can check services from multiple global locations as well as from within private networks, helping identify outages, slow response times, and other performance issues. The service also includes monitoring for website transactions, user experience, SSL/TLS certificates, DNS, mail services, APIs, and URLs.
DISCUSSION:
Renewing ManageEngine Site24x7 will allow the County to continue monitoring websites, applications, servers, and certificates without a gap in service. The system alerts the IT Department when services slow down, become unavailable, or when certificates are nearing expiration, which helps staff respond quickly and reduce downtime. Since the team already uses the existing dashboards and reports, renewal avoids retraining or rebuilding monitors and provides a low-risk way to maintain uptime and meet stakeholder expectations.
