RE: Approval of a proposed amendment to the 2022-2023 Appropriations Resolution for various line items to transfer funds for capital projects (Fiscal Services)

BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Office of Fiscal Services is requesting the attached budget amendments to update the fiscal year ending September 30, 2023 budget.
BACKGROUND:
There were savings due to staffing vacancies and turnover during the current fiscal year. We are requesting to transfer these funds to a capital project fund to aid in funding item from the capital plan.
DISCUSSION:
The attached amendment is required to transfer the funds from General Fund to the Capital Projects Fund.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Chief Financial Officer to authorize multiple budget amendments to the FY23 budget, said amendments being fully described in the memorandum request, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the September 6, 2023 meeting of the Finance Committee of this Board), and the Chief Financial Officer is directed to make the budget adjustments, as needed, to effectuate this resolution.
