BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) requests authorization to obtain a Purchase Order with Ecker Mechanical Contractors, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $820.00.
BACKGROUND:
Ecker Mechanical Contractors, Inc. is a current licensed vendor used by Genesee County that provides mechanical inspections. In order to renew the Fenton Head Start and Fenton Early Head Start child care licenses, the State of Michigan LARA requires inspection of fuel-fired furnaces by a licensed heating contractor and inspection of water heaters by a licensed heating or plumbing contractor.
DISCUSSION:
GCCARD requests authorization to obtain a Purchase Order for Ecker Mechanical Contractors, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $820.00 to inspect the furnace and hot water heaters at the Fenton Head Start and Fenton Early Head Start sites for the renewal of their State of Michigan child care licenses in order to continue to serve children and families in Genesee County.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
There is no impact on Genesee County Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Funds are available in the approved budget as follows: 2802-698.01-869.000 ($343.20), 2727-698.01-869.000 ($96.80) and 2802-698.06-869.000 ($380.00). No General Fund dollars are being requested.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
There is no impact on Genesee County facilities.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
There is no impact on Genesee County technology.
