TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
WHEREAS, Robert Link submitted a Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) request to the Genesee County FOIA Specialist asking for “any and all data collected by the Flock security camera (images/video/etc.) on Irish Road near Maple Road on November 7, 2025, from the hours of 7:00 a.m. through 9:00 a.m. and the hours of 4:00 p.m. through 6:00 p.m.”; and
WHEREAS, the request for those records was denied on the basis that (1) no records exist; and (2) the FOIA does not require a public body to create a compilation, summary, or report of information; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Link has appealed the denial of his request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, hereby denies Mr. Link’s appeal of his FOIA request denial, upholds the disclosure denial, dismisses the appeal, and directs that Mr. Link receive written notice of this Board’s determination regarding his appeal.
