BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office and 7th Judicial Circuit Court – Family Division are requesting approval of a contract extension with Sentinel Offender Services, LLC, for tether and monitoring services for adult and juvenile offenders. This total cost of this agreement is not to exceed $350,000 (not to exceed $300,000 for adult offenders; not to exceed $50,000 for juvenile offenders), to be paid from accounts 1010-352.00-801.004 and 2920-664.00-868.020, respectively.
BACKGROUND:
Sentinel Offender Services, LLC, was identified through the Request for Proposal process, disseminated July 2, 2025, via RFP # 25-456, for tether and monitoring services, as a joint request by the Sheriff’s Office and Juvenile Section of the Circuit Court Family Division.

This total cost of this agreement is not to exceed $350,000 (not to exceed $300,000 for adult offenders; not to exceed $50,000 for juvenile offenders), to be paid from accounts 1010-352.00-801.004 and 2920-664.00-868.020. The juvenile portion of the agreement is part of the approved childcare fund plan and budget for FY 2025-26, the remaining balance has been budgeted for by the Sheriff’s Office.
