RE: Approval of a request by Genesee County's Health Department to create, post, & fill one (1) new Mobile Health Unit Driver position

recommendation
BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval to create, post, and fill one (1) Mobile Health Unit Driver position.

The unit is designed to bring preventive care, health screenings, and other public health services to residents who face barriers in accessing traditional health services. Operating and deploying the MHU requires a qualified individual with demonstrated experience in operating large commercial vehicles. Given the nature of mobile health deployment, the role requires schedule flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and on-call availability during public health emergencies or urgent community health events. No additional County Appropriation is required.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
Human Resources will be needed to post and fill the position and facilitate all other hiring requirements.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
A budget amendment is attached to pay the position from a...
