BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Staff is requesting approval of the master agreement between the Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission (GCMPC) and the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). Staff is also requesting approval for Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission Director, Derek Bradshaw, to sign the agreement.
BACKGROUND:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has provided an updated agreement between MDOT and the Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission (GCMPC), as the current MDOT agreement expires September 30, 2026. The new MDOT agreement will be in place until September 30, 2029.
DISCUSSION:
An agreement between MDOT and GCMPC outlining the roles and responsibilities of each agency in the metropolitan transportation process. This is required to be in place in order for GCMPC to receive federal funds for planning work completed.

This agreement will have no impact on human resources.

This agreement will have no impact on budget.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
This agreement will have no impact on facilities.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
This agreement will have no impact on technology.

This agreement serves Genesee County’s priorities of Community & Economic Growth, Long-Term Financial Stability, and Healthy, Livable, & Safe Communities through infrastructure, recreation, and safety investments.
