BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of an amendment to an agreement between Genesee County and Hobbs + Black Associates, in an amount not to exceed $5,075.65, to provide for additional work on the Justice Center space study
BACKGROUND:
The BOC approved a contract with Hobbs + Black Associates to conduct a space study for a future Justice Center. The total amount of that contract was $150,000.00.
DISCUSSION:
As part of the space study, additional costs were incurred because of a trip to Phoenix to visit their court facility.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Director of Administration to authorize amending the agreement between Genesee County and Hobbs + Black Associates, said amendment being necessary to increase the total contract amount by $5,075.65 to provide additional work on the Justice Center space study, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request being on file with the official records of the September 16, 2026 meeting of the Public Works Committee of this Board), and the Chairperson of this Board is authorized to execute the contract amendment on behalf of Genesee County.
