recommendation
BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Staff is recommending approval of the fund transfer request as described below and requesting Genesee County Board Chairperson, Delrico J. Loyd to sign the contract.
BACKGROUND:
Mt. Morris Township has requested to transfer $40,000 from its 2024 Blight Elimination Project to a new Code Enforcement project as shown below. This project involves providing funding for code enforcement officer's wages and abatement activities at properties within the low to moderate income areas of the township. The 2024 Blight Elimination project can no longer be completed because the Land Bank has already removed the houses selected by Mt Morris Township for demolition.
DISCUSSION:

There will be no impact on human resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
The transfer request and new purchase order is for an amount up to $40,000 and will be billed to the budgeted CDBG funds.

There will be no impact on Genesee County facilities.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
There is no impact on technology as Genesee County technologies will not be utilized.
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
GCMPC's Community Development programs support Genesee County's goal of community growth. These programs allow for funding to be allocated to organizations who assist low- to moderate- income residents, like senior centers.
