BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of an emergency purchase for $44,527.40 to cover the cost of FLOCK cameras for the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.
BACKGROUND:
The Office of Genesee County Sheriff has contracted with FLOCK for several years. The attached invoices have been presented to fiscal services to cover past-due expenses for GAIN from 2022 to the present.
DISCUSSION:
This purchase is an emergency request to encompass grant dollars already set aside to cover these expenses. The delay was caused by multiple conversations between fiscal services and the vendor about ensuring the invoices were accurate. The grant period has ended, and fiscal services have been diligent in getting the vendor up-to-speed with the necessary billing/language and processes. Both parties have come to an understanding and the vendor will continue to cover their portion of the costs or the reimbursements as per the grant.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
WHEREAS, the Sheriff’s Office has requested an emergency purchase of $44,527.40 to be paid to the FLOCK to cover expenses related to the contract from 2022 to the present. This emergency purchase is to be paid out of account #2856-310.00-810.00.
