Approval of the Genesee County Employee Notification System Usage Policy Manual
BACKGROUND:
Genesee County currently does not have a formal policy or established system in place for employee-wide emergency notifications. As County operations continue across multiple departments and locations, there is a need to establish guidance for the potential use of a centralized notification system to communicate urgent information to employees.
DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines for authorized use of the Genesee County Employee Notification System to communicate time-sensitive information to County employees. The notification system is intended to provide rapid notification during emergencies and significant operational disruptions that may affect employee safety, County facilities, or continuity of County operations. The system shall not replace routine departmental communication channels.

Coordination may be required for updated employee contact information.

There is no impact on the budget.

There is no impact on Facilities.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
