RE: Approval of an update to Genesee County's Environmental Health Regulations

BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of changes made to the Genesee County Environmental Health Regulations.
BACKGROUND:
Several changes have been made to the Environmental Health Regulations in the form of fee increases, out of date language updates and indications where language needs to be changed for compliance and enforcement.
DISCUSSION:

IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
There will be no impact on Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
This increase to fees will increase our budget.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
There will be no impact on facilities.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
There will be no impact on technology.
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
The purpose of the Environmental Health Division is to promote a safe environment for the county and to improve public health outcomes by ensuring all requirements are consistently being followed. We value integrity and transparency to aid in expanding our required role of regulator.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Health Officer to authorize amending and updating the Environmental Health Regulations, said amendments and updates being necessary for the reasons as stated in the memorandum request, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the October 8, 2025 meeting of the Human Services Committee of this Board).
