BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Board approval and referral by the Health Officer to the appropriate committee of the Board of Commissioners.
BACKGROUND:
Resolutions 2024-997 and 2024-996 were passed on September 18, 2024 to approve drugs and pharmaceutical and medical supply purchases with various vendors used at the Health Department. The resolutions are in need of budget increases.
DISCUSSION:
The vendors listed are members of the Minnesota Multistate Contracting Alliance for Pharmacy (MMCAP) or Apexus. The Health Department is able to purchase medical supplies through these vendors at a reduced cost, creating cost savings.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
There will be no impact on Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Listed amounts are within the Health Departments budgeted programs and/or received grant funding. The total increase requested is $143,215.00. Resolution 2024-997 requests an increase of $126,000.00; in account lines 2210-602.02-766.000 for $89,000.00, 2210-611.01-763.000 for $30,000, and 2210-625.00-955.001 for $7,000.00. Resolution 2024-996 requests an increase of $17,215.00; in account lines 2210-625.00-763.000 for $7,000.00, 2210-623.00-763.000 for $2,200.00, and 2210-627.00-764.000 for $8,015.00.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
Our facilities will hold patient appointments and provide services to the community.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
There will be no impact on technology.
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
By providing these services, the Health Department is promoting health & safety with the necessary services through programs including Family Planning, Immunizations, Environmental Health, STD Adult Clinics, ...
