BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Genesee County Parks and Recreation staff requests the approval to apply for a grant from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund (MNRTF) to renovate and develop the lot at Stepping Stone Falls. Grant Amount Requested: Up to $250,000.00.
BACKGROUND:
Genesee County Parks submitted a request for Phase 1 of the project at Stepping Stone Falls. That project has been recommended for MNRTF Board approval. Phase 2 of the project includes developing an all-season parking lot to accommodate year-round trail access.
DISCUSSION:
This grant requires a 26% match from local sources.
NO USE OF GENERAL FUND.

This project also supports the promotion and communication of available resources and services with connection to the designated state trails. This project conforms to the priority of continuous improvements of County facilities and services.
