BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Authorize and approve a Purchase Order for the FY23/24 in the amount of $35,000.00 for after-hours surgical service and medical needs necessary for Genesee County stray population.
BACKGROUND:
The above vendor is an existing partner Genesee County Animal Control utilizes to assist with after hour surgical services and medical needs to injured strays. Animal ER provides support services to meet the welfare and health needs during times when shelter is closed.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request of Jay Parker, Director of Genesee County Animal Control to authorize and approve a Purchase Order in the amount of $35,000.00, to provide support surgical and medical service needs to stray animals of Genesee County during the FY23/24. Said funds are to be used from account 2130-430.00-801.004 (Service Contract General), is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of October 11, 2023, meeting of the Governmental Operations Committee of this Board).
