Approval of the renewal of Rubrik via SHI International
BACKGROUND:
Rubrik is our enterprise backup and cyber-recovery platform that unifies protection for on-premises, cloud, and SaaS data. It uses an air-gapped, immutable file system so backups cannot be modified deleted, or encrypted by attackers, enabling rapid, clean restores after ransomware or other incidents. Rubrik protects key workloads-including Microsoft 365 (Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams) – and supports instant recovery options such as Live Mount to reduce downtime.
DISCUSSION:
The renewal maintains the County’s ransomware-resilient backup and recovery platform by preserving immutable, zero-trust backups designed to prevent attackers from encrypting or deleting protected data and enabling rapid, clean restoration when needed. The platform protects key workloads, including Microsoft 365 Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams, while supporting instant recovery options. Renewing the solution ensures continued, unified protection across the County’s on-premises and cloud environments for backup, recovery, and reporting.

This is a planned renewal not to exceed $18,985.80 via SHI International; vendor spend exceeds $30,000. SHI International quoted the renewal using the cooperative agreement under OMNIA Partners IT Solutions, Products and Services, Contract number 2024-056-02. To be paid from the following accounts, pending approval of the FY27 budget, pre-paid 1010-000.00-123.000 - $18,985.80, coverage starting 10/1/26 through 9/30/2027.
