BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Office of Genesee County Sheriff requests the acceptance of the 2026 Marine Safety Program Grant Agreement for $28,700.00 for the period of January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026, into account 1010-331.00-541.000. This grant allows the Sheriff's Office to provide staff and equipment to ensure safety on the Genesee County waterways.
BACKGROUND:
This grant has been an ongoing grant received by the Sheriff's Office year after year to support our obligation to maintain safety on Genesee County Waterways.
DISCUSSION:
This grant, if accepted, requires a match of at least 25%. $9,567.00 requested from the general fund as the match requirement

Grant in the amount of $28,700.00 to be deposited into account 1010-331.00-541.000 with $9,567.00 additional match requirement from general fund.
