BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of a purchase order to MLive Media Group (Advanced Local Holdings) in an amount not to exceed $7932.15, for the 25/26 fiscal year
BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this purchase is for statutorily required notices of elections. The request is going to the board as the aggregate spend for MLive across all county departments has exceeded $30,000.
DISCUSSION:
Michigan Election law requires election dates, times, locations, and the public accuracy testing of those to be publicly noticed in a newspaper of general circulation of our community. This covers all posting for the August 2026 election.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Genesee County Clerk & Register of Deeds to authorize an expenditure, in the form of a purchase order to MLive Media Group for election advertising in the 25/26 fiscal year, in an amount not to exceed $7932.15 to be paid from account 1010-215-900.008, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with the official records of the October 7, 2026 meeting of the Governmental Operations Committee of this Board).
