BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Genesee County Parks and Recreation staff requests approval to amend the Master Developer contract with Lurvey Construction, LLC, for the New State Park, to increase the total amount of funds available to complete the project.
BACKGROUND:
RES-2025-2396 awarded the Master Developer contract for the New State Park to Lurvey Construction, LLC. At the time of the award, Parks had secured $20,108,658.00 for the development of the New State Park and Lurvey Construction was approved to receive a fixed rate of 2% of the total project amount for their services.
DISCUSSION:
Approval is requested to amend the contract with Lurvey Construction, for the development of the New State Park, following the successful securing of additional funding to advance and complete planned park improvements, increasing the total amount by $11,306,858.69, for a new total of $31,415,516.69.

The 2% fixed rate of the total project amount approved for Lurvey Construction services increases to $615,990.52, to be paid from the said secured funds, not in addition to.
