Approve Stop Loss Application for Signature.
BACKGROUND:.
Plante Moran Group Benefit Advisors took our stop loss coverage out to bid. This process resulted in a recommended change in stop loss providers.
DISCUSSION:
Gerber Life via RMTS was selected to provide stop loss coverage for our ASR plan. It is not atypical for the actual contract to take a bit to be issued, and in this case, they were waiting for the finalized/signed ASR plan documents before being able to ensure that the application (that will yield the actual final contract) was ready for signature
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
New vendor set-up and coordination.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
This step has no impact as cost was included as part of our budget process. The cost for the plan year is $702,559 and will be paid from accounts: 7360-255.06-840.029 and 6790-202.00-718.000
