BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
The Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD) requests authorization to obtain a purchase order (PO) for Uline in an amount not to exceed $31,500.00 for Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27).
BACKGROUND:
GCCARD’s USDA Supplemental Food Program provides USDA food through the Commodities Supplemental Food Program and The Emergency Food Assistance Program. GCCARD’s Nutrition programs provide healthy meals to seniors and children throughout Genesee County.
DISCUSSION:
Products provided by Uline such as packaging tape, shrink wrap, and t-shirt bags will be utilized by GCCARD’s USDA Supplemental Food Program ($30,000) in the provision of food to seniors and those needing emergency food in Genesee County. Nutrition Services ($1,500) will utilize this PO in the provision of carts, replacement wheels for carts, and totes. This PO will run from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
There will be no impact on Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Funds for this PO are budgeted and will be available in USDA Supplemental Food ($30,000.00) fund numbers 2759-697.30-752.00 and 2757-697.30-752.000 and Nutrition ($1,500.00) fund numbers 2731-697.15-752.000, 2731-697.16-752.000 and 2733-697.15-752.000, not to exceed $31,500.00. No General Fund dollars are being requested.

There will be no impact on Facilities.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
There will be no impact on Technology.
