recommendation
BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
67th District Court respectfully requests approval to accept the Legal Self-Help Center grant award through the State Court Administrative Office in the amount of $53,650 for fiscal year 2026, October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026.

DISCUSSION:
Legal Self-Help Centers provide services to those who are seeking to solve legal problems by providing legal information, forms, resources, guidance, and referrals.

Due to the short period of time between notification from the State of the award and the deadline for signature, there was not enough time to submit a resolution and get it on the Board's agenda during that timeframe. Therefore, the Agreement was signed prior to the item being placed on the Board's agenda.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
The Legal Self-Help Center grant includes funds for a part-time paralegal to work...
