BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of a three-year contract between Genesee County and the Genesee County Medical Control Authority (GCMCA) in the amount of $473,293.00
BACKGROUND:
Genesee County contracts with the GCMCA to provide funding for their operations. The current contract expires on September 30, 2026.
DISCUSSION:
Genesee County has historically provided funding to GCMCA through the Emergency Services Millage. To provide for a more stable funding outlook, the last contract provide for three years and the ability to submit requests for additional funds for specific projects. In FYE 2026, the GCMCA submitted a funding request that would allow for succession planning for the ED. Year 1 ($223,293.00) of this contract finalizes that plan. Years 2-3 ($125,000.00 per year) reverts to the normal annual allocation.

There is sufficient funding available in the Emergency Services Millage. Annual funding will be provided per the following: Year 1 - $223,293.00. Year 2 - $125,000.00. Year 3 - $125,000.00
