RE: 2025-2027 CDBG Call for Projects

BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
At this time, the Allocation Committee is recommending approval of the attached list of CDBG activities for Program Years 2025-2027, pending final environmental review and receipt of funding from HUD.
BACKGROUND:
Staff held a call for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) projects for Program Years 2025-2027. Applications were reviewed for eligibility and staff worked with local units of government to obtain details necessary for the environmental review process. The projects are currently undergoing final environmental review. The list of eligible projects and proposed funding amounts are attached for 2025-2027.
DISCUSSION:
Funding amounts are estimates based on current funding levels and are subject to change depending on actual allocations received from HUD. The list represents a total of over $2.6 million in investments across Genesee County.
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
No impact on human resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
All projects will utilize CDBG funds, no impact on general budget.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
No impact on county facilities.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
No impact on technology.
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
All proposed CDBG projects will conform to at least one county priority, and many projects meet multiple priorities. Applicants were required to explain how their project would contribute towards our priorities. A breakdown of how many projects meet each priority is listed below.
