BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of a Purchase Order to Law Enforcement Officers Training Commission for the fiscal year ending 2024, in an amount not to exceed $47,400.00. 

BACKGROUND:
The Sheriff’s Office utilizes Mott Community College’s Police Academy. This payment is a reimbursement for the cadets that have already attended the Police Academy. Genesee County is a pass through for this invoice and all the funds come through the State of Michigan.

IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no county funds being used. The county is just a pass through for reimbursement. This will be paid from account 1010-351.00-910.005.

TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN

 

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:

 

                     BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan, that the request by the Office of Genesee County Sheriff to authorize a Purchase Order to Mott Community College in the amount of $47,400.00 to pay the police academy costs for eight Sheriff’s Deputies who have attended and graduated from the program, said pass-through costs to be paid from account 1010-351.00-910.005 with no County funds being used, is approved (a copy of the memorandum request and supporting documents being on file with official records of the April 17, 2024 meeting of Finance Committee of this Board).
