RE: Requesting Board Approval for the increase of Resolution 2024-006 indicating budgeted medical supply purchases with various vendors, which will exceed $10,000 over the course of 23-24 fiscal year.

BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Board approval and referral by the Health Officer to the appropriate committee of the Board of Commissioners.
BACKGROUND:
Resolution 2024-006 was approved on 01/24/2024. This request is to increase two of the program lines for medical supplies purchases as follows: 2210-608.02-764.000 - $10,000.00 & 2210-626.01-764.000 - $12,800.00, for a total increase of $22,800.00
DISCUSSION:
This is a request for increases on various program lines based on Resolution #2024-006. The vendors listed are members of the Minnesota Multistate Contracting Alliance for Pharmacy (MMCAP) or Apexus. The Health Department is able to purchase medical supplies through these vendors at a reduced cost creating cost savings
IMPACT ON HUMAN RESOURCES:
There will be no impact on Human Resources.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Listed amounts are within the Health Departments budgeted programs and/or received grant funding. There is a budget amendment in progress.
IMPACT ON FACILITIES:
Our facilities will hold patient appointments and provide services to the community.
IMPACT ON TECHNOLOGY:
There will be no impact on technology.
CONFORMITY TO COUNTY PRIORITIES:
By providing these services, the Health Department is promoting health & safety with the necessary services through programs including WIC, Environmental Health, and other Health Department programs.
