BOARD ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of a request to designate administration funding from the opioid settlements to fulfill the Community Assessment process with the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) through the State of Michigan Collaborative.
BACKGROUND:
This board recently approved the Opioid Executive Committee (OEC) to collaborate with the TAC through State of Michigan Collaborative for community assessing. The TAC has designated $6,000 of their funding to assist the OEC with focus group and survey incentives, but experience has shown more funding is usually needed to fulfill the overall process.
DISCUSSION:
Genesee County is now receiving funding from Opioid Settlements. The OEC has been meeting regularly to determine best practices for spending these dollars. To allow for a seamless community assessment process, $5,000 (Account Number, 2960-255.04-910.004) is being requested from the opioid settlement funding under administration for advertising, marketing, supplies, social media, and website updates.
